Q & A

Tell us about your work in the Love is Color Anthology.
It was a simple write actually. Since I have always loved the color Blue, this story flowed
Honey colored Blue naturally. I personally see the color Blue as a direct connection to Bliss, Peace or Love of many sorts. I played on the Blues (in a musical connotation) as a direct reflection to my perception of love and transcended it into human form.
Who or what inspired the work(s)?
I have always been attracted to the color, Blue…or it to me….I am not sure. When I think of the color Blue, I think of love. For example, each time I take a cruise to a Caribbean Island I am always in awe of the different hues of Blue that are the bodies of water there. My heart stops for a minute and I realize each time that I am in love! It never fails. Even the Blue skies make me melt. I feel like I have reached nirvana while gazing up at its beauty. Some of the most beautiful things are Blue and I love them by nature.
What writer, poet or artist inspires you the most and why?
Nikki Giovanni and Zora Neale Hurston are my 2 favorite writers. I feel like GOD specially made their hands and gave them the gift of gold-writing. Their pens seem to posses some sort of magic that can’t be pinpointed. I love the way their stories and poems make me feel, nostalgic.
What’s next for you?
I plan to write a movie script and become a successful Realtor.
