Welcome to a special edition of Purple Night Lights! Today we are celebrating the Love is Color Anthology. The release date is Feb 14th! In the mean time I will be welcoming the ladies behind the words in the book. Please welcome: Nadine Tomlinson
Q & A
Tell us about your work in the Love is Color Anthology.
I submitted two Haiku poems under the title, The Softness of Light.

Who or what inspired the work(s)?
Initially, I wrote the poems for World Haiku Day a few years ago. The theme was ‘Light’.
What writer, poet or artist inspires you the most and why?
Octavia E. Butler inspires me the most because I consider her the Queen of Science Fiction and she is my role model for the genre in which I write. I love how she couches complex themes and issues in simple language.
What’s next for you?
I’m writing my first novel, a speculative fiction tale with elements of magical realism drawn from Jamaican folklore.
Where can readers find your work?
The Gold Anthology via the Pelican Publishers website.
