This week’s LoveRotica Book Challenge entry was a joy to read. It is a book from one of my favorite writers of erotica, Twyla Turner. I have read everything she had written, so I was excited when her latest book was released this week. So much so, that I read it in a day and a half. It only took me that long because I had work to do on my book. lol Winter’s Beast was a little darker than her normal stuff, but it was also the same as far as her taking unlikable people and making them lovable.
Here’s what I think:
How does she do it? How does Twyla write these damaged men that make me go gaga? I absolutely fell head over heels with Yuri from the beginning. He was such an abused child and he needed someone to love him. He was such a special character.
Winter was a very unique character as well. I loved that she was an opera singer. I could just vision her standing on stage with her pale skin, white hair and red lips beautifully belting out in Italian.
This story touched my heart as I have a soft spot for the underdog & people who have been bullied. Anyone who doesn’t have issues with kidnapping, sexual abuse or bullying will love this book. The love story was everything. I almost lost it in the final chapters. I won’t ruin it for the readers, but something happened to Yuri and I had to keep myself calm, having faith that Twyla wouldn’t do that to me.
I went through changes with this one, but it was worth it in the end. LOVED IT! This one gets 5 kisses. I wish I could give it more.
